Art direction and design for the physical release of the “Moon Gates” album by Aura Merlin.
The concept for this album revolved around the journey of a wizard through the lands and their magical transformation. The cover depicts the garden that sits at the base of the wizard’s tower with the moondial at its center.
The moondial is a recurring motif throughout the design, from the back of the booklet, to the illustration legend of the insert that comes with the vinyl.
In addition to the design, I also did the painting and the illustrations for this album.
